My beaded designed are inspired by and built around fabulous artisan crafted lampwork glass beads. These beads are special in many ways. They are made by an individual, self-represented artist, usually in their own home. They go from flame to kiln to be annealed slowly, for strengthening. Never mass produced. Always quality checked. Each a small work of art that will last generations.
These fascinating beauties deserve, and receive, to be with the best components. I combine them with Sterling silver, Bali silver, Hill Tribe silver, and artisan crafted metal work. Other quality supplies I use are Soft Flex brand beading wires, Tierra Cast Pewter, Czech glass beads and semi-precious stones.
Each design is unique and one of a kind. I've enjoyed this creative focus for over a decade and am still inspired by the amazing creations my favorite bead artists come up with.

This avenue of creation is near and dear to my heart. I've always loved altering clothing, turning buttons into jewelry or finding a new use for something.
Most of my upcycled designs are made of antique typewriter keys dating from the 1890's to the early 1940's. Through this pursuit I've discovered a wide variety of obsolete machines and have preserved part of them in a way that is fun, nostalgic and unique.
Included in my upcycled fun are adding machine keys, cash register keys, scrabble tiles and other game pieces, playing cards and any other bits and parts that strike my fancy.
Though I may repeat a phrase or pun, each design is unique. The wear and aging in these parts insures that no two designs will be identical.
